Ducky Solo 2016 - Day 7

Today will be a short post.

Went to work and the pace was not bad.  I got some of my audio recordings of my phone calls critiqued and I think I got relatively minor issues to work on.

I accidentally left my phone on "Not Ready", aka short break mode, for an hour and a half.  I hope management doesn't pay too much attention to that.

Lunch I didn't take a picture of, but it was just rice with some of the broccoli and seitan mix I had. 

The office pretty much cleaned all the leftovers from last night.  I did see a little left over when I was on my way home so I just took it.

I also got a haircut today.  I think it looks pretty good.

I ate all the lobster I saved from yesterday with the leftovers from work.

Gotta keep up with my nutrient smoothies.  Today I did a peach, half a banana, 3/4 cup yogurt, milk, and protein powder.  I did not taste any peach.  I mostly tasted the banana.  

Going to play Fire Emblem after surfing the web a bit. YAY.

Ducky Solo 2016 - Day 6

Woke up this morning at around 6:25 AM like my usual.

I ate some Raisin Bran with milk.

Wore some business casual today because of the after work business dinner.

Work was super busy today.  I almost felt overwhelmed with reports and phone calls.

Today's lunch consisted of some veggie nuggets, rice, a quarter of avocado, and a fried egg.  Tasted alright like all my other vegetarian dishes.

I was not able to catch up at all.  I ended up working an hour after everyone left.  It was ok because I had to go to the business dinner by like 6:30 PM anyways.  This way, I would be done with my work before dinner time.

I got to the Chinese restaurant by like 6:20 PM and went inside.  Met some of the people there and had some chit chat. 

My boss ordered the dishes, but he wanted me to explain them to our Caucasian clients and coworkers haha.

In the end everyone like everything.

I believe our boss ordered the like $500 family dinner for 10 people.  I didn't take a picture of what was included, but here are some of the leftovers.  There was a vegetarian person and we ordered 2 dishes of stir fried grean beans just for her.  She was okay with whatever.

Since the big boss had to fly out tomorrow and was not going to the office, he suggested I bring it to work tomorrow for people to scavenge.

Initially he suggested I just take all the leftovers home.  None of our other coworkers really wanted to take the leftovers.

I scavenged some stuff for my dinner for tomorrow night!

Ducky Solo 2016 - Day 5

Another long day at work to make up for the day I dropped Kitty at the airport.

Besides that it wasn't too bad.  I had time during the day to make some dental appointments so that was good.

I got home around 5 PM or so and proceeded to water the plants and surf the web a bit.

 I made more smoothies to keep up with my protein intake even when I didn't go gym.  Today I made a mix of spinach, half a banana, berries, yogurt, spinach, and milk.  Tasted alright.  I think the banana really helps blend the protein powder in well.

Going to clean my desk a bit and then get to bed by 11PM and play Fire Emblem.

I am nervous for tomorrow night's business dinner thing.  Social anxiety to the max.  Sigh what did I get myself into.

Ducky Solo 2016 - Day 4

Woke up late this morning at around 10:00 AM.  

I ate some abalone cookies and drank some water for breakfast.  I didn't get out of the house until around 10:55 AM.  I went to the gym again to try to keep up with my gym habit for this month at least.

Got home around 12:39 PM or so.  Time to make lunch.

Lunch consisted of a noodle soup of tomato instant soup, peas, 1 possibly expired egg, about 8 wontons, and 1 deep fried tofu pocket.  It tasted very tomatoey.

Continuing with my smoothies.  I forgot to add yogurt today.  I knew something was missing when I was drinking it it.  I did 1 cup frozen berries, half a banana, 1 scoop of protein, 1 cup of milk, and 1 handful of spinach.  Tasted pretty good with the banana today.


I got to play some Fire Emblem today so that was good.  During lunch I watched half of Captain America #1.

However, I made some terrible mistakes.  Firstly, I bought sliced seitan which was meant to be like a ham substitute, not cubed, which was what I wanted.

Final Product for Dinner

Next, I picked up oyster sauce instead of hoisin sauce.  I was so close to having this 100% vegetarian.  It tasted ok, but I would not use any starch for the frying parts in the future.  The starch was crispy after frying, but gets very slimy after mixing with sauce.  It tastes acceptable to me, but maybe not to Kitty.

Seitan tastes like a very firm tofu.  Very springy and has a firm texture almost like poutine.

Lunch for tomorrow.

My lunch for tomorrow consists of the rest of the tofu cucumber stir fry, an egg, half an avocado, and rice.

Tomorrow is my rest day in terms of gymming.  

I have to sleep some what earlier tonight because I have to wake up at 5:25 AM tomorrow for work.  

Probably read some Nisekoi manga before I sleep.

Ducky Solo 2016 - Day 3

Worked out at the gym first time in a long time.  I felt super sore and I think I almost pulled a muscle.

Realized how far the gym was and why I stopped going haha.

Then went to the local grocery store to buy stuff for dinner.

Berry Smoothies

Made a berry smoothie with a handful of spinach, a cup of frozen berries, a scoop of protein, half a cup of yogurt, and a cup and half of milk.  Smoothie tasted okay, but the vanilla protein was kind of overpowering.  It was otherwise pretty good.

Boy milk is sure expensive at regular stores.  The cost of this 1 gallon could have bought 2 gallons at Costco and then some.

Dinner just ate some leftovers since I was too lazy to cook anything tonight.

Going to finally play some Fire Emblem.  I fell asleep yesterday.

Ducky Solo 2016 - Day 2

Went to work early this morning to make up for the 2 hours I took off on 16-Jun-2016 to drop Kitty off at the airport.

So tired at work, but it wasn't too busy so that was good.

I had more pizza for lunch.  I think there may be 1 more serving of pizza, which I will eat for lunch tomorrow.  I love pizza, but its giving me a lot of heartburn, so I am happy to finish it.

After work, I did about 45 minutes of archery.  I think I am getting better at this, but still not great.  It was fun as usual though.

Then I spent the remainder of the Costco giftcard and bought the following items:

Tissue paper is very important.
There was $5 off the cottonelle, so I bought it. Seemed like an okay deal.

Smoothies Supply

I planned to get in on that smoothie game.  Probably resume going to the gym on 18-Jun-2016.  I still need to buy some milk.  The milk at costco was super cheap though.  It was $3.49 or so for 2 gallons.  That is like the regular cost for a quart at Berkeley bowl.  However, both gallons expire July 3rd.  There is no way I can drink that much.  Well with the smoothies I might, but I won't know until I start.  I will go to Berkeley bowl tomorrow for milk and maybe more tofu or other protein substitutes.  I was thinking about going to Safeway, but there is the glass bottle from the chocolate milk I wanted to return.

Miscellaneous Lunch and Dinner Stuff

I planned on eating a lot of eggs and avocado with salads.

I hope this $200 will last me at least 2 weeks!

For dinner, I just reheated some of yesterday's stir fry and ate the not dry parts of the left over rice.

That's it for tonight.  I want to curl up in bed and play some Fire Emblem.  Yay!

Ducky Solo 2016 - Day 1

Another year, another month of solo ducky adventures.

Today, I drove Kitty to the airport.  It was a sorrowful goodbye, but I know she would have fun overseas again.

You know what that means, until July 16, 2016, Ducky is on his own again.

Again, I will do my best to eat whatever left over foods are in the kitchen and fridge.  

This blog will help me document my adventures!

For lunch, I had some more delicious left over garlic chicken pizza from Round Table Pizza.  Almost had consecutive days of eating this, but I did not eat any pizza on June 15, 2016.
More Pizza Yum.  Heart burn.

Man pizza kind of gives me some heart burn.  I ate this at like 1 PM and it is now 9 PM.  I still feel a bit of heart burn.  I even took a Tums.

Mostly Vegetarian Stirfry

Dinner tonight consists of fried tofu and a stir fry of cucumbers, Quorn chicken fillet, and some frozen peas over rice.  I added a dash of abalone sauce just for flavor.  Tastes okay.

Tomorrow I will probably go to Costco.  To buy random food to last me the next 2 weeks or something.

Gonna go to bed now since I have to wake up early at 5:25 AM.  GG at least it is Friday.
