Ducky Solo 2016 - Day 20

Woke up groggy like usual.  Woke up earlier than my alarm.  Got sweaty in the middle of the night.

Ate some walnut cookies as breakfast.

Made a booboo this morning when I was filling my tea.  I forgot to put the mouth piece into the cap and spilled the tea everywhere in my bag.  I put my lunch in my gym tote instead.

Got to work.  More busy that yesterday.  Only 2 more days of work and tomorrow I get to work from home. YAY!

I didn't take a picture of my lunch, but it was just rice, broccoli, and the meat and potatoes thing my dad made.  Almost done with it.

I had some bad burpy gas the rest of the day.

I went to the gym despite my gassiness and felt ok.

Got home and made my usual leftover dinner:

Avocado Egg Dinner

Fried 2 eggs, ate some spinach and mushroom stirfry left overs, half an avocado, and some rice.



Mango Banana Smoothie

For dessert, I resumed my smoothie making.  This time was the last of my bananas and some mangoes.  The bananas were black from being in the fridge.  Good thing it was the last one.

Will have to change my Tahoe plans for this weekend.  Someone isn't going and the people that are going want an easier hike.  Probably kayak since jetskis are so expensive.

Going to play more Fire Emblem.  My goal is to beat this before KittyPoo comes home!

Ducky Solo 2016 - Day 14

Another relatively nice work from home day.  It started off so good and amazing.  THEN BAM 10 am came and non stop busy work until lunch.


Breakfast Smoothie?

Since I was working from home, I thought I would have the smoothie as a breakfast today.  It kept me feeling pretty full, but by around noon I got some what hungry.

I forgot to take a picture of my lunch, but it consisted of some of the stir fry veggies and meat my dad gave me previously.  I ate it with some rice.  Before I knew it, my lunch was over.  It seems whenever I work from home, my lunches feel so short.

After I was done for the day, I did my usual Disneyworld check for the Candlelight processional stuff.  Don't know who the narrator is on 12/11, but I booked reservation for that date for the dining package.  I had some difficulty booking it at first because of slowness on the website.  Since today was the first day the dining package was released, I bet a lot of people were trying to book reservations.  I eventually got it through and received my confirmation e-mail.

For dinner, I ate the rest of the salad with half an avocado.  I was a bit weary of the salad since I forgot to drain the water.  It was staying very moist for many days.  I hope I don't get sick pooo.  I finished all of the salad from the Costco bag.

No smoothie at dinner time since I had it for breakfast.  I had some apricots instead.

Maybe play some Fire Emblem later tonight.  Will look into some house stuff first.

Ducky Solo 2016 - Day 8

Yay working at home is always nice.

Today was not too busy and I didn't even have to put on pants fun fun.

I was going to play Fire Emblem, but a call came in.

Sorry, I forgot to take pictures of my lunch. I just ate some left overs from the business over rice.  Nothing fancy.

During lunch time I prepped some stuff for dinner:

I went to the gym after skyping with kitty for a bit.  Man I still feel sore from the weekend, but I powered through some.  I got on a squeaky elliptical, but was too lazy to get off and find another one.

I finished watched Captain America Winter Soldier.  It was an entertaining action movie.  I do have to wonder what they are going to do in Avengers and Captain America 3 after all this stuff happened in the 2nd movie.  I guess I have to download those next.

Going to pack for SF because I will be staying at my parents for the weekend.  Dad is finally back from his trip to China.

Ducky Solo 2016 - Day 7

Today will be a short post.

Went to work and the pace was not bad.  I got some of my audio recordings of my phone calls critiqued and I think I got relatively minor issues to work on.

I accidentally left my phone on "Not Ready", aka short break mode, for an hour and a half.  I hope management doesn't pay too much attention to that.

Lunch I didn't take a picture of, but it was just rice with some of the broccoli and seitan mix I had. 

The office pretty much cleaned all the leftovers from last night.  I did see a little left over when I was on my way home so I just took it.

I also got a haircut today.  I think it looks pretty good.

Gotta keep up with my nutrient smoothies.  Today I did a peach, half a banana, 3/4 cup yogurt, milk, and protein powder.  I did not taste any peach.  I mostly tasted the banana.  

Going to play Fire Emblem after surfing the web a bit. YAY.

Ducky Solo 2016 - Day 5

Another long day at work to make up for the day I dropped Kitty at the airport.

Besides that it wasn't too bad.  I had time during the day to make some dental appointments so that was good.

I got home around 5 PM or so and proceeded to water the plants and surf the web a bit.

 I made more smoothies to keep up with my protein intake even when I didn't go gym.  Today I made a mix of spinach, half a banana, berries, yogurt, spinach, and milk.  Tasted alright.  I think the banana really helps blend the protein powder in well.

Going to clean my desk a bit and then get to bed by 11PM and play Fire Emblem.

I am nervous for tomorrow night's business dinner thing.  Social anxiety to the max.  Sigh what did I get myself into.

Ducky Solo 2016 - Day 4

Woke up late this morning at around 10:00 AM.  

I ate some abalone cookies and drank some water for breakfast.  I didn't get out of the house until around 10:55 AM.  I went to the gym again to try to keep up with my gym habit for this month at least.

Got home around 12:39 PM or so.  Time to make lunch.

Lunch consisted of a noodle soup of tomato instant soup, peas, 1 possibly expired egg, about 8 wontons, and 1 deep fried tofu pocket.  It tasted very tomatoey.

Continuing with my smoothies.  I forgot to add yogurt today.  I knew something was missing when I was drinking it it.  I did 1 cup frozen berries, half a banana, 1 scoop of protein, 1 cup of milk, and 1 handful of spinach.  Tasted pretty good with the banana today.


I got to play some Fire Emblem today so that was good.  During lunch I watched half of Captain America #1.

However, I made some terrible mistakes.  Firstly, I bought sliced seitan which was meant to be like a ham substitute, not cubed, which was what I wanted.

Final Product for Dinner

Next, I picked up oyster sauce instead of hoisin sauce.  I was so close to having this 100% vegetarian.  It tasted ok, but I would not use any starch for the frying parts in the future.  The starch was crispy after frying, but gets very slimy after mixing with sauce.  It tastes acceptable to me, but maybe not to Kitty.

Seitan tastes like a very firm tofu.  Very springy and has a firm texture almost like poutine.

Lunch for tomorrow.

My lunch for tomorrow consists of the rest of the tofu cucumber stir fry, an egg, half an avocado, and rice.

Tomorrow is my rest day in terms of gymming.  

I have to sleep some what earlier tonight because I have to wake up at 5:25 AM tomorrow for work.  

Probably read some Nisekoi manga before I sleep.

Ducky Solo 2016 - Day 3

Worked out at the gym first time in a long time.  I felt super sore and I think I almost pulled a muscle.

Realized how far the gym was and why I stopped going haha.

Berry Smoothies

Made a berry smoothie with a handful of spinach, a cup of frozen berries, a scoop of protein, half a cup of yogurt, and a cup and half of milk.  Smoothie tasted okay, but the vanilla protein was kind of overpowering.  It was otherwise pretty good.

Boy milk is sure expensive at regular stores.  The cost of this 1 gallon could have bought 2 gallons at Costco and then some.

Dinner just ate some leftovers since I was too lazy to cook anything tonight.

Going to finally play some Fire Emblem.  I fell asleep yesterday.

Ducky Solo 2016 - Day 2

Went to work early this morning to make up for the 2 hours I took off on 16-Jun-2016 to drop Kitty off at the airport.

So tired at work, but it wasn't too busy so that was good.

I had more pizza for lunch.  I think there may be 1 more serving of pizza, which I will eat for lunch tomorrow.  I love pizza, but its giving me a lot of heartburn, so I am happy to finish it.

After work, I did about 45 minutes of archery.  I think I am getting better at this, but still not great.  It was fun as usual though.

Then I spent the remainder of the Costco giftcard and bought the following items:

Tissue paper is very important.
There was $5 off the cottonelle, so I bought it. Seemed like an okay deal.

Smoothies Supply

I planned to get in on that smoothie game.  Probably resume going to the gym on 18-Jun-2016.  I still need to buy some milk.  The milk at costco was super cheap though.  It was $3.49 or so for 2 gallons.  That is like the regular cost for a quart at Berkeley bowl.  However, both gallons expire July 3rd.  There is no way I can drink that much.  Well with the smoothies I might, but I won't know until I start.  I will go to Berkeley bowl tomorrow for milk and maybe more tofu or other protein substitutes.  I was thinking about going to Safeway, but there is the glass bottle from the chocolate milk I wanted to return.

I hope this $200 will last me at least 2 weeks!

Return of yesterday's stir fry

For dinner, I just reheated some of yesterday's stir fry and ate the not dry parts of the left over rice.

That's it for tonight.  I want to curl up in bed and play some Fire Emblem.  Yay!
